Riu Plaza Fisherman's Wharf

This hotel is very good. Check in superfast may be because we did pre check in formalaties sent on email earlier. Reception provided two bottles water at check in. Nice !. Vrry spacious lobby and ground area, nice atmosphere and no congesstion. Lifts very fast. Only about 4 floors.The location very convenient to the tram/ cable cars two locations . Pier39 just 15 minutes walk. Safe neighbourhood. Please note after 9 pm its just boaring all shops closed. So if going for dinner better before 9pm. Room very spacious and all placed well in the room.

Highly recommend. Close to the hop-on hop-off bus, Fisherman's wharf and public transport. Can walk to piers from here for Alcatraz and the Bay Cruise etc. Can walk to many tourist attractions from here. Breakfast was amazing! Was busy but we were seated every time in 5 minutes. Easy and quick check-in and check-out. Return of deposit very quick. Very comfy beds and pillows, wonderful showers. Huge tv. Very clean room. On-site small place for snacks to go was great.

Great location. Good breakfast buffet included in price. No “to go food or drinks” allowed from the buffet. Walking distance to the Wharf (lots of restaurants) and to Ghirardelli Square. Close to pier to catch the Ferry to Alcatraz. Used Muni- public transportation(group day pass) for family of 4 to go long distances that required more than one stop. Otherwise used Uber and Waymo (driverless car- seats up to 4).

The location is amazing, nearby the fishermans wharff and all the restaurants. The houskeeping is also amazing, the room was everyday very clean. The staff is also very friendly.

Clean room, comfy beds. The hotel is 5 minutes walk from Fisherman’s wharf and the pier. 5 minutes to the cable car station. About 15 mins walk to the Alcatraz ferry. There is also a bike hire shop directly over the road from the hotel that does electric assist bikes. Which are recommended as there are a couple of big hills to go up on the way to Golden Gate Bridge. Make sure you go early to avoid the pedestrians and other bikers. The free breakfast was really good but get in early as around 09:00 there is a queue for seats but the staff are fantastic and clear the tables quick and seat you quickly. Just make sure all your party is there together. Fire’s at the outside tables were nice when it’s cold. Lots of restaurants nearby and Uber eats is also a good option to get food delivered if you’re too tired for more walking. Nice clean area surrounding the hotel with not many homeless people around, I was expecting more.
